"Pademelon Peek," Coloured Pencil Fine Art
"Pademelon Peek," Coloured Pencil Fine Art
Featured in this artwork is a red-bellied pademelon. Photos taken to reference for the artwork were shot at Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation park by the artist, Helen Grey. Sadly pademelons are no longer seen in the wild on the mainland of Australia, and can only be seen in captivity or the wilds of Tasmania. Habitat loss and predation of feral species such as cats and foxes are the main culprits in the extinction in the wild in those areas. Pademelons are similar to rabbits in size, however closer in relation to other marsupials such as kangaroos.
This piece was drawn exclusively in coloured pencil to an A4 square size (approximately 21x21cm) on Art Spectrum cold press cotton rag and has also been made available as Limited Edition print line.
Please note that as this is an original artwork and not a print reproduction, any loss or damages will only be able to be replaced with a print copy, or with the completion of an entirely new artwork by Helen Grey. Please ensure proper care of the artwork, professional framing is recommended and hanging out of the elements and away from direct sunlight.
