This fine art reproduction of the artwork “Rainbow Bee-Eater,” is a Limited Edition line of only 20 prints. This artwork was completed using a combination of pastel and coloured pencils. The background was created using Panpastels, with the bird and branch completed in a variety of coloured pencils including Caran D’Ache Luminance, Derwent Drawing, Derwent Lightfast, Faber Castell Polychromos and Prismacolor Premier coloured pencils.

RAINBOW BEE-EATER (Merops ornatus)
Rainbow bee-eaters are a colourful Australian bird species also found in eastern areas of Indonesia, New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. As the name suggest, they eat bees, as well as other insects such as dragon flies, butterflies and beetles.

The original piece was drawn exclusively in coloured pencil on A4 Pastelmat card. Reference photo used for this artwork by Jon Westaway.
This piece is available as limited number (20 total) prints, printed on archival quality eco friendly Hahnemuhle card. Each print comes hand signed and numbered, with it’s own unique Certificate of Authenticity. Print size without frame is approximately 8x11” (A4). All prints are created using archival inks and card, with professional scanning and processing to ensure colour matching and detail captures the original piece right down to each pencil stroke and card texture.
